Status upgrade: "unconfirmed" → officially stated. The USGA's Amex Cardmember Benefits page now explicitly confirms that the KC93:0001 offer ($10 back on $100+ on-site) applies to "qualifying purchases of concessions and/or merchandise with on-site merchants at the 126th U.S. Open Championship at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club between 6/11/26 and 6/21/26." 3
The tournament begins tomorrow (Jun 18). Amex is an official on-site sponsor with a station at the Shinnecock Hills train stop, a cardholder lounge near hole 4, and exclusive merchandise.
One caveat that hasn't cleared: no community member has posted a confirmed Amex card swipe at Shinnecock Hills concessions during practice rounds (June 15–16). The official exclusions are extensive — USGAshop.com, parking, transportation, ticketing, hospitality/catering, gift cards, phone charging, USGA memberships, and donations are all out. 3 The $100 minimum needs to be hit at food/beverage concessions or merchandise. A round of drinks and a few hot dogs across a group gets there reasonably fast — NUCLR GOLF reported concession pricing of $12.95 for beer, $19 for footlong hot dogs, and $6.45 for bottled water during practice. 4
